Migrant/Bilingual ListServ
The Migrant/Bilingual Listserv is a free service offered by the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction Migrant and Bilingual Education to keep members up-to-date on information that is relevant on the Title I Migrant Education Program (MEP) and the State Transitional Bilingual Program (STBP). The listserv covers:
- New grant programs and grant opportunities
- Key legislative, regulatory and policy changes
- New reports, studies, evaluations, publications and/or resources
- Pertinent special initiatives within the U.S. Department of Education.
It is MEP/STBP's intention to be a source of information for districts, schools, teachers/staff, and parents in their quest to find effective ways to meet the needs of migrant and LEP students. Being present or absent from the List Servers page is neither a sign of non-endorsement nor endorsement by MEP/STBP.
ListServ Etiquette:- People's time is precious. Keep it short.
- Avoid sending yes, me too, or I agree responses to the group list.
- Take time to think and formulate a productive response.

- No "flaming" (internet term to identify the angry email)
- When only a couple of people are corresponding or attachments are to be sent, use your own email.
- The address should be in the "body".
- Use a descriptive subject line to reflect the topic of your message.
- Remember, replies go to all members of the group list.
- Make it easy for people to respond to you directly by including your name and email address in the "body".
